Integer Story part 2....sorry its way BELATED
So my name is Britt. I did addition first now I will do Subtraction. So I was on my way up to camp with my family and 2 of my friends to Petersfield. My friends names are Selena, and Gabriella. So on the way we were looking out the window and we saw lots of birds in the sky...and I was like hey lets subtract away the birds that leave. Lets start with how many are there and how many stay and go. 12 in total and oh look 7 are leaving . So Gabriella make that into an equation ummmmm...okay Ill try she said im not the best! She said (12)-(-7)=5 Britt says yayyy....you did it. Now lets take a break and enjoy the ride to petersfield. Gabriella says I have my ipod and Britt says me to ...lets listen to them..ok. Britts mother Selena says girls I know what you can do..they say "what" ....you both can do more subtracting integers.....but mom.......no buts. You need the practice oh ok britt says. Now her mom says I didnt bring my ipod, your dad did... so in total there is 3.So now britt make an equation....ok (3)-(1)=2. Goodjob
girls her mom said.Thats enough now.You will start learning 2 more harder ones when we arrive to the camp....you both will go swimming and start with people who are there and subtract how many leave that have been there for awhile already.....Ill turn the radio on we are almost here. 10 minutes after we are HERE!! britts mom says.....now help put away the the things and go get your swimming things .....okay said the girls. As they were heading out towards the pool there was 10 in total.....none left yet so keep it in mind gabriella because its your turn..ok. So they both jump in and start having fun....oh LOOK! 7 are leaving time to do my equation with help from you, your mom.......ummmm..(10)-(7)=3. OH yeah I did it and you guys are making me much smarter thanks....As they gett ready to head back its Britts turn now and then they get the rest of the weekend to do what they want..well you will count how many boats there are right now (mother had said) well 16 in total and there is 10 getting pulled out so....ooooh I can do it wait ,..brainstorming the equation in her head the answer is 6 ....(16)-(10)=6.. WOW nice jod britt, and gabriella you to are getting better. They get back at the trailer and get dressed and have a blast...go hangout with there other friends that are there. They check in with dad then play man hunt at night time.....we are having soooo much fun as they start to hide from there both bestest friends katie, and Sabrina...they both come to look for them and they find them because Britt was gigling, and gabriella was tickling her...when they had finished playing went to the trailer and they had to stay now till tommorrow morning they had a bonfire.....with marshmellows to end the night !!!!!!!!!!!the end

According to Ron when you multiply an odd number of negitive integers your product will be negitive, And when you multiply an even number of negitive integers you will get a product that is positive.
Chapter 2: Combining Like Terms
Stewie: How do you combine like terms?
Brian: Well Stewie first you see if there are any variables that are the sme letter you circle them.
Stewie: So if the question is n+3-5n+12 i circle the n and the 5n?
Brian: Yes
Stewie: Then what?
Brian: Well you rewirte the question so the like terms are grouped together.
Stewie writes: n-5n+3+12
Stewie: What's next?
Brian:Then you solve it
Stewie: Okay give me a minute.
Stewie writes: n-5n=5n+3=8n+12=2n. Is 20n the anwser?
Brian: Yes it is!
Stewie: Woo hoo I'm smarter then you!
Brian: I'm not so sure about that.
Brian: If your so smart then anwser this question...2 + 4(3n+8).
Stewie:ummm... I don't think i can anwser that one. Besides i'm only a baby
Brian: Okay I'll help you.
Stewie: Awsome
Brian: Well first you have to group the like terms which are 2+4+8 and add on the number with the variable. So the question will look like this 2+4+8x3n and that give you the anwser of 42n
Stewie: Thanks Brian
Brian: no problem buddy
Stewie: Well see you later
Brian: Bye Bye
Stewie: Peace out

KALLY: Hey what’s Julie?
JULIE: OH nothing much, Just doing my math homework.
KALLY: Do you need some help?
JULIE: Yahh, This ALGEBRA is so hard.
KALLY: Well Let's see your paper.
JULIE: Umm... here you go... The Question is n+3-5n+12
KALLY: ohhh... i see you... you actually got the answer wrong.
JULIE: But i thought it was -6n+15.
KALLY: no... Well you are surpose to simplify it... there is no equal sign there
JULIE: Well i thought we were surpose to add them or something
KALLY: Here is how you do it.. First you have to you have to group the variables and numbers. You also have to put them in order so it will be easier.
After doing that the expression should be -5n + n + 3 + 12. ok
JULIE: Okay i think i get it
KALLY: add the numbers, and finish simplifying the question.
JULIE: Ok I'll do that
KALLY: Add the two leftover numbers, 3 and 12, we get 15. To finish answering this question, you have to add both the answer from the variables and the numbers. Then the answer comes out to -4n + 15.
JULIE : ok then on to the next question
Thanks for all the great comments
Thanks again,
Jocelyn
The Great Big Book of Algebra
Auntie Donna: Hi Matthew!
Matthew: I have a math test tomorrow and I was wondering if you could test me with a couple of algebra questions.
Auntie Donna: Oh, sure. Hmm... Let me think of one... How about n+3-5n+12.
Matthew: Hmm... I think the answer is -6n+15
Auntie Donna: Your answer is incorrect, Matthew. Let's simply go back and take a look at how to do this question, and what you did wrong while solving it.
Matthew: Oh, shucks! Well, alright...
Auntie Donna: Well, first you must re-group the numbers to make it easier to solve. Therefore it should be, n-5n+3+12.Then combine like terms and solve it. Which means combine all the terms that are the same. Now, it should be, -4n+15. Now you have simplified it.
Matthew: Well, what did I do, to get my incorrect answer?
Auntie Donna: Hmm... Well, if we go back and look at it, you added -n and -5n instead of subtracting -5n from n.
Matthew: Oh, I see I see... Can you give me one more question?
Auntie Donna: Sure. How about, 2+4(3n+8).
Matthew: Okay, I'll try it. Uh... I came up with 12n+10.
Auntie Donna: Once again, you're incorrect. Let's go back and do step by step again.
Matthew: Aww... okay.
Auntie Donna: Okay, so with this question, there is distributive property going on. You can underline it so that you know where it happens. So, put the 2 first because you know that it's going to stay because it's not part of the distributive property. Now, take the number beside the bracket and multiply the two terms inside the brackets. It should now be, 2+12n+32. Now re-group it. It should be, 12n+2+32. Combine the like terms like last time. It should be, 12n+34. And that should be your simplified expression.
Matthew: Oh, right. Well, explain to me what I did wrong.
Auntie Donna: Oh yeah. Well, when you first looked at the question, instead of multiplying both terms in the bracket, you just multiplied the first one, and added the last two integers. Which is why you got the answer 12n+10.
Matthew: Ooooohhh. I get it now. It really is easy now that you've explained it all. Thanks Auntie Donna! I hope I do well on my math test.
Auntie Donna: Oh, I'm sure you will, but just remember to go step by step. It's okay to use lots of paper because we recycle!

ATTENTION PLEASE ! : On, my title of the picture there, I meant to put DIVISIVE, not DIVISITIVE. Thank you. :)
Divisive: First, I isolated the variable by multiplying n by 2. Then I got 2n/2. I also did it on the other side to balance it out. Then I crossed out the 2 and the 2, because they cancel eachother out. Then I solved 4(2) and I got n=8. Finally, I verifiedby plugging in the what n equals where n is supposed to go.

Distributive Property and Combining Like terms Chapter 2
Bob:Hi my name is Bob.
Jack:Hello,my name is Jack
Bob:Do you know anything about distributive Property?
Jack:a little bit. why?
Bob: I could teach you a little. Would you like to learn some stuff?
Jack: yeah, it could help me in school.
Bob:Okay, I will give you a question. what is 2 + 4(3n+8)
Jack: I think the answer is 12n + 10. Is that correct?
Bob: I'm sorry but that is incorrect. The answer is 12n+34.
Jack: I think I know where I went wrong.
Bob: show me what you did and I will help you with your mistakes.
1 minute later
Jack: Here you go.
Bob: You forgot to times the 4 by eight and add the 2
Jack: Thank you!
Bob: Would you like to learn about Combining like terms?
Jack:sure, why not. I have nothing better to do.
Bob: What is n+3-5n+12?
Jack: Is the answer -6n+15?
Bob: The answer is -5n+15.
Jack:I was for sure i got it.
Bob: The -5n stays the same then you add the 3+12 and that is 15. That is how you get -5n+15.
Jack:Thanks for all the help you gave me.
