HARBECK, ILL MISS YOU
Tuesday, July 28, 2009
Dear Mr. Harbeck, I will really miss grade eight math, I'll really miss your loud teaching and everything else you do. I'll especially miss this blog, the one I always visited after school or when I was bored. This method that you use for the internet.. for math was really fun and enjoyable. I guess I'll just basically miss grade eight and all the fun and wonders it held, all the teachers.. and those events or whatever they are called that keep us all occupied and busy. Like Pay It Forward, that Four Charities thing.. you know. Movies.. it was really fun. The grade sevens and nines are always asking me why we weren't in class during this day or that day, and I would simply say.. "we were doing blahblahballh" and they would say "how come we didn't do that last year?" I loved grade eight and I'll miss it. I hope your summers fine btw! Love fuzzy.
My year in Grade 8
Friday, June 12, 2009
My year in Grade 8 was short. It was not really a year it was only 3 months and then in the next school year i will be grade 9. Sargent Park school here in Canada was a lot different than schools in the Philippines. Reason is everything is free, but except for food. There was no free lockers, so you have to carry all your books and notebooks all the way. Even papers are not free, you have to pay for the price and the xerox of the paper given to you. There is expensive tuition fee, and it was not worth it. Here in Canada, schools have technology, which is I want. We always write on paper, but here I have the chance to write with a computer and to experience high speed internet. Technology, that's what it is.
Math was great its like going back to grade 6. But some of it I already forgot, so i still have to learn it again. I don't like algebra, not just the basics, even the advance in algebra. It's like solving the slope of 3x -3 = 8, and then graph. But problems like that is a bit easy for me, I already forgot the hard problems, Maybe because math gives me

My Year in Grade 8
My year in Grade 8, well its not actually a year just a few months like 2-3 months. I feel lucky to finish Grade 8 for a few months, but those few months are still important. Its important because it gave experience me in a school in Canada. Grade 8 is like a training for Grade 9, because in Grade 9 I will be graded. Math is easier here, in the Philippines 1st year high school which is Grade 7 here we are studying algebra an some equations will took you a page to show your solution. So when I studied algebra here it will be a lot easier. But still some subjects are advanced such as Social Studies.
In conclusion my Grade 8 is great just like back home
